Imported Goods Consumption Growth Keep Soaring 进口商品消费持续增长
According to China Customs, the first half of 2021, the number of imported good increased by 16%, and the proportion of purses, jewellery and watches doubled.
海关数据显示,上半年我国进口商品数量增长16%,箱包、首饰、钟表的进口额同比增长1倍左右。

Currently, CBEC business is developing strongly to promote online imported consumption, while expanding and extending the supply channels for imported goods to enter the Chinese market.
当前,我国跨境电商发展势头强劲,推动进口消费线上化, 进口商品进入中国市场的供应渠道不断拓展延伸。
 
Statistics show that in the first half of this year, China’s CBEC imports reached 283.1 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 4.6%. Focusing on quality has become an important feature of imported consumption. Beauty cosmetics, skin care, medical care, and maternal and child products are currently the most popular categories of imported consumption, and the category keep expanding.
统计显示,今年上半年,我国跨境电商进口额达2831亿元,同比增长4.6%。注重品质已成为进口消费的重要特征,美妆护肤、医疗保健、母婴用品等是当前进口消费最受关注的品类,进口消费的品类结构更加丰富。

The growth of imported consumer goods is a manifestation of the release of the domestic market's potential and an inevitable result of consumption upgrades.
进口消费品增长是国内市场潜力释放的体现,也是消费升级的必然结果。
 
On November 5th 2021, starts the 4th China International Import Expo. Till July 27, 284 Fortune Global 500 and industry leading companies have signed up, the number has exceeded the previous years, the contracted exhibition area has reached 360,000 square meters, and more than 50 countries have confirmed to participate in the national exhibition. The CIIE has become a fast channel for many foreign commodities to enter the Chinese market. The amount of intentional transactions at the CIIE has risen year by year, with the third session exceeding US$72.6 billion.
11月5日,第四届中国国际进口博览会将拉开帷幕。截至7月27日,284家世界500强及行业龙头企业签约参展,数量已超过上届,签约展览面积已达36万平方米,已有50多个国家确认参加国家展。进博会已成为不少外国商品进入中国市场的快速通道。进博会意向成交金额逐届攀升,第三届超过726亿美元。

 
In addition, a 365-day perennial trading service platform has also been opened. Since the 3rd CIIE, Shanghai has accumulated "66 CIIE days + 365 days" trading service platform, and nearly 180,000 exhibits have been entered into the Expo, involving 1,390 exhibitors and a total of RMB 146.47 billion  of imported goods.
此外,还设有365天常年交易服务平台。第三届进博会以来,上海累计搭建56个进博“6天+365天”交易服务平台,引入进博会展品近18万种,涉及展商共1390家,累计进口商品1464.7亿元。
In addition to building platforms, in recent years, China has taken the initiative to lower import tariff rates many times, especially of consumer goods where the demand and domestic supplies don’t match. At present, China’s overall tariff level has dropped from 9.8% in 2017 to below 7.5%.
除了搭建平台,近年来,我国多次主动下调进口关税税率,特别是降低百姓生活有需求、国内供给有短板的消费品关税税率。当前,我国关税总水平已由2017年的9.8%降到7.5%以下
 
Meanwhile,In June 2021, the overall customs clearance time for imports across the country was 36.68 hours, a reduction of 62.34% from 2017. Minister of Commerce revealed that China's CBEC retail imports implement positive list management. The Ministry of Finance and relevant departments have adjusted the list twice, and now there are more than 1,400 commodity tax items in the list. The next step will be to further optimize the list to better meet domestic consumer demand.
与此同时,2021年6月,全国进口整体通关时间为36.68小时,较2017年压缩了62.34%。商务部透露,我国跨境电商零售进口实行正面清单管理,财政部会同有关部门已两次调整清单,现在清单内商品税目已超过1400个。下一步将研究进一步优化清单,更好满足国内消费需求。
